3:38 p.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez, after a woman reported a man calling her from a jail phone in violation of a protection order. The man was cited for the protection order violation.

4:07 p.m.: A deputy responded by phone to a residence on Road H. 6, Cortez, regarding a fraud case in which a woman received an email claiming her Amazon account was suspended and was instructed to buy Apple gift cards. The woman provided phone numbers linked to Google VoIP accounts and photos of the cards.7

11:57 p.m.: A deputy responded to the 13000 block of Road 33, Montezuma County, after observing three dogs running at large and attacked a patrol vehicle by biting the tires. The owner was contacted and warned. One of the tires later went flat.

11:18 a.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on U.S. Hwy. 160, Cortez, for a possible domestic violence report from the previous day. A woman said her boyfriend grabbed her wrists and pushed her to the ground during an argument. The man denied the physical contact. Photos of bruises were taken.

12:31 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road 43, Mancos, for a structure fire. Smoke was coming from a single-story residence. The fire personnel extinguished a blaze that originated in a master bedroom closet from a lit candle left earlier. No indication of malice.

2:26 p.m.: A deputy was approached in the 300 block of Riverside Avenue, Dolores, by a man reporting the theft of his .22-caliber revolver. The firearm was entered into NCIC/CCIC.

7:59 p.m.: A deputy responded to 31 Central Ave., Dolores, regarding the illegal dumping of a camper trailer’s holding tanks. A man was contacted after his truck and trailer were seen leaving the area. He was cited for a Town of Dolores ordinance violation for discharging noxious liquids.

8:37 a.m.: A deputy on foot patrol near Dolores Elementary School, N. 11th Street and Central Avenue, Dolores, was given a found Apple Watch by an elderly woman. The watch was secured at the Dolores substation.

10:33 a.m.: A deputy responded to Montezuma County Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., Cortez, for a warrant service. A man was taken into custody.

2:13 p.m.: A deputy responded to Riverside Park, Railroad Avenue, Dolores, for a report of an intoxicated man harassing park visitors. The man was later arrested on suspicion of disorderly conduct after continuing to yell obscenities and make gestures.

5:14 p.m.: A deputy responded to the intersection of Road 23 and Road X, Montezuma County, for a traffic accident involving a vehicle that left the roadway. The juvenile driver had no license, registration or insurance.

8:09 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road F. 5, Cortez, for a domestic violence report. A man allegedly placed a woman in a chokehold during an argument. He resisted arrest and was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic violence, resisting arrest, obstruction and criminal mischief.8

8:47 p.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on U.S. Highway 491, Cortez, for a report of threats. A man was contacted for shouting profanities toward a neighbor in violation of a protection order and was arrested on suspicion of the protection order violation.

10:41 a.m.: A deputy contacted a bank regarding suspected fraudulent activity on an account belonging to a man and woman at a residence on U.S. Highway 491, Cortez. Two outgoing payments were flagged. The case remained open pending further investigation.

9:25 a.m.: A deputy responded to a residence on Road P, Dolores, for a possible assault. Two brothers argued, and one was allegedly hit, causing injury to his lip. One man was cited for third-degree assault.

3:19 a.m.: A deputy observed a black bear had entered unsecured trash receptacles at 1123 Railroad Ave., Dolores. The owner was contacted. No ordinance violation was found after inspection of the receptacles.

1:55 a.m.: A deputy located a vehicle parked in the roadway on Road M near Road 29, Dolores. The vehicle was towed after the registered owner could not be reached.

10:36 a.m.: A deputy took a report of a lost or stolen Ruger Single-Six .22 revolver from a residence on Road Z, Yellow Jacket. The firearm was entered into NCIC/CCIC.

3:20 p.m.: A deputy responded to Road 24.3 and Road G, Cortez, regarding an abandoned vehicle on Empire Electric Association property. The vehicle was later towed.

11:18 a.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma Combined Courts, 865 N. Park St., Cortez, to transport two men to the Montezuma County Detention Center.

4:25 p.m.: A deputy responded to the area of 18600 CO Highway 145, Dolores, for a report of vehicle traveling at high speed and swerving. After a pursuit, a woman was arrested on suspicion of vehicular eluding, DUI, reckless driving, speeding and failure to stop at stop signs.

8:50 a.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez, for a warrant service on a man already in custody.

2:05 p.m.: A deputy responded to Road G and Road 22.6, Montezuma County, for a two-vehicle crash. Both drivers were identified, and the Colorado State Patrol handled the investigation.

10:47 a.m.: A deputy responded to the Montezuma County Detention Center, 730 E. Driscoll St., Cortez, for a warrant service on a man.
